Hey babes! I’ve finally had some time to go through all of my favorite pictures from mine and Pennys trip to New Mexico and I couldn’t choose just a couple (not sorry, hehe). So, here’s the whole lot of them! Hope you guys are in love as I am.Driving to the cabin and we had to pull over to take pictures on this ledge!I had to bribe sleepy Penny with a fry to get out of the car HAHAA
All the grandkids + great-grandkids!Nirvana + PenelopeBefore I was a mom and saw kids on leashes I always thought that was the worst possible thing like “just control your kid” WELL I got my payback because Penny is a runner! + turns out so is Nirvana HAHA
My heart literally can’t take itPoor P was fighting her nap all day and finally she came to sit on my lap and started playing with her hands in the water and knocked out! BABY NATHAN (nephew) I CANT GET OVER HOW FREAKING CUTE HE ISSuccessfully walked about 5 minutes with her on my shoulders then I felt like I was gonna pass out.
Me, Penny, my brother Nathan, his baby girl Nirvana + my sister Brittany. When you gotta change a diaper on a hike. YOU NEED HELP. Thanks Vivian!!
And right after that diaper change she fell asleep!MY LIL BBUGH CAN’T HANDLE IT I LOVE HER SO MUCHThe first night we took a shower together, the second night in the shower – she screamed the whole time, third night – I had to improvise for a bath and it’s safe to say, she loved it! Our cabin
Every single time I go to New Mexico, I dread it. I complain weeks before about how much I don’t want to go but once I’m there, with no cell service, I LOVE IT! Getting out in nature is always a good time. I’m so happy Penny got to experience it. This store, Doc Campbell’s Post is right next to the cabin. They have the cutest little knick knacks AND THE BEST ICE CREAM! I also got the last two copper bracelets I’m wearing from Doc Campbell’s
Our next adventure was visiting the City of Rocks. It sounds super boring (I thought it was) but once we were there it was wild!! You’re driving and there’s regular mountains and the usual and out of nowhere there’s these HUGE rocks. like fucking HUGE ROCKS I couldn’t believe it!When you try you’re hardest to be adventurous but not down to fall and die in front of your kid. That’s how far I got when I chickened out HAHAH so sad! I was there for a minute afraid to move and die!!She wanted to go back to the car! (got those turquoise earrings from Doc Campbell’s too!) I love this picture, OMG!Tia Brittany with Nirvana + PennyPenny’s first sparkler!!My great grandma Pollys house.
These two lil babes are so cute! They were jumping + playing + laughing (until Nana came in and told them to stop) *laughing and crying emoji*Grandma Polly + Penny.
She told Penny “You’re not a penny, you’re a million bucks” SO SWEET!
Every time we go to New Mexico my Tata always takes us to this little shop in Pinos Altos. They have the cutest jewelry EVERRR!
Scored and found these mini copper penny earrings. If P had her ears pierced I’d give them to her BUT she doesn’t. So, until then I’ll take good care of them! The last time I went to New Mexico was about 5/6 years ago and I had found this little copper bracelet and it was too small for me but I still bought it anyways and always thought well if I ever have a kid it’ll be cute for them AND NOW MY BABY GIRL IS WEARING IT!!! She did wake up and throw it off of her (she’s a dramatic Cancer) so I’ll wait a couple more years and try again.

Thanks for reading guys!!

I’m baaaack! :~)

And what better way to be “back” then on my lil babes birthday, sharing her birth story!

SO, here goes this 3 daylong story. ENJOY!

Wednesday, July 8th, 2015 / Due date & final pre-natal check-up.

Everything was fine and I had seen this doctor before – this time she told me that my belly was measuring small and just wanted to make sure that the baby was fine. So, she sent me immediately to the actual hospital to get an ultrasound. She said if the ultrasounds come back and the baby’s measuring at an okay weight then I will be able to go home but if not, I would have to stay and be induced. So, Phillip and I go to the hospital, get checked out and when the ultrasounds come back – baby’s fine!! Since it was still only like 3:00pm by the time we got done Phillip had to go back to work (he worked nights at the time). So, I’m at home with my mom doing whatever and I get a call from my doctor and she asked how the ultrasound went and I told her “good, I’m home now blah blah” and she stopped me, mid sentence and was totally shocked I was sent home then went on to tell me she’s calling because the hospital sent my ultrasounds and the baby “is measuring way too small” and continues to tell me that I need to go to the hospital immediately and be induced. (we left the house about an hour after that call) I took a shower, packed my bags since I figured we were gonna be there ’til the baby’s born. Also, I had to call Phillip to tell him we have to go back to the hospital.

Once we finally get to the hospital around 6:45 p.m, my mom and I go up to the maternity floor thinking everyone will be waiting for us. Whelp, they were not waiting for us – the lady at the front desk didn’t believe that I was sent to be induced. S/o Kaiser for the rude nurses. Turns out my doctor had emailed another doctor sending the orders for my induction. The nurse up front had to check with two doctors until they somehow figured it out. Once everything was squared away we got to a little room with a bed where I was going to be induced. Phillip had gotten there around 8:00pm (I think) and they finally started my drip around 9:00pm. Around 9:30pm we got to go to our own room and it was nice! Before that, I’ve never been in the hospital for anything super serious – this was my own room and bed, it was cool! Since, I was induced they told me I couldn’t eat anything!! Yeah effing right!! Anyways, I don’t remember who brought the food in but either my mom or Phillip snuck in In-N-Out and it was the best everrr. Fast forward a couple of hours and its time to sleep. Phillip and I slept on my bed, my mom slept on a little couch that turned into a bed and I was so uncomfortable the whole night! Fast forward again to the next morning.

Thursday, July 9th, 2015

We woke up in the morning; I was feeling pretty good. I had little contractions through the night so I didn’t sleep too good but it wasn’t anything major yet. Around 9:30am Phillip had to leave to go pick up Jaxx (he couldn’t miss that day since they had just went to court – things are better now, thank god!) and right after he left the contractions slowly started. I think it was a mix of the Pitocin (known to make contraction worse) and not having Phillip there made me really anxious. So, the morning went on and my contractions kept coming. My oldest sister Brittany came to the hospital and so did my Nonny and my mom had been there the whole time. It was nice having people there; especially them (they’re the best). UNTIL, my mom started snapchatting me when my contractions were at their worst! I’m in the middle of a bad one, the kind that are in your back and deep. I was holding onto the bed railing trying to breathe and I look over and she has her phone out!! I couldn’t believe it; still right now, writing this I cant believe her!!

Lets speed it up a little. I dilated from 3cm to 8cm within like 4 hours and around 6cm I couldn’t take it and I had asked for the epidural. Right in the middle of the worst contractions more people started coming to the room and I remember seeing my Aunt at the door with her sons but they weren’t allowed in since I had just asked for the epidural (still sorry about that). Right when the doctor was about to put the needle in; Phillip walked in the room but was rushed out since no one can be in there while they put it in. Fast forward a couple hours, I haven’t dilated since I had gotten the epidural but ohhhh myyy goshh that medicine they give you was the best thing ever! I could feel it every time I got another dose; it would feel cold going down my back, sooo nice! I was like Amy Poehler in Baby Mama.

It’s the evening now and more family members keep coming. I only dilated to 9cm and that’s where I’ll stay for a couple of hours. It’s later and later and still no progress. The only change is that every time I have a contraction, baby’s heart rate drops. The doctors rush into my room, they check me – still no progress. They tell me at this rate since its passed my due date and baby isn’t coming herself and because when I contract her heart rate is being lowered they didn’t want anything to happen to her – so if I’m okay with it they want to do a c-section. The doctors keep a close eye on me; my family makes bets for when she’s coming. At that point, all I wanted was my baby to be safe.

Friday, July 10th, 2015

It was around 2:00am when they started prepping me to deliver. Phillip took this at 2:29am in the room sitting right next to me.

By now they’ve given me even more medicine so I won’t feel them cut into me. I had so much I couldn’t stop shaking. I was trying my hardest and even the doctors told me to relax but I couldn’t control my body (they said it was shock from all the meds). I just remember laying down shaking with my hands spread out and a sheet covering my bottom half. I feel so much pressure and tugging and I knew they were getting her and MY baby was about to be born.

Penelope Marie Elizalde was born at 2:55am. Phillip took these at 2:56am.

The doctors had told me before they started that if she weighed under 4 1/2lbs they would have to rush her to the NICU where she would stay until she reached a certain weight. My first question after she was born was how much does she weigh?! Thankfully she was a little over 6lbs! Right after Penny was born they took her out with Phillip and I had to stay to be put back together. When they finally wheeled me to them; Phillip and P were having their first skin to skin. This was her first latch at 3:59am.

Big girl ate for about an hour then this was taken at 5:25am when I got my first real good look at her. Keep in mind from all the meds I could barely keep my eyes open but this – I’ll never forget. I’ll never forget the groggy feeling from all the medicine, the butterflies from realizing this little thing is mine. Looking at this picture brings them all back.

Everyone told me the hospital would be the only place I’d get sleep but that was the biggest lie ever told to me. I GOT NO SLEEP. Nurses came in every two hours! I took this in our room new room on July 10th at 6:15am.

Still no sleep because another nurse came in. Our first selfie taken at 8:47am. This girl has been a cuddle bug since day 1!

Honestly, the hospital was miserable. I couldn’t get any sleep because people kept coming in so we decided to leave the day after she was born.

And day 2 of her wonderful, little life. Taken on July 11th at 11:19pm

During my pregnancy, I wanted a natural birth and after everything was said and done I realized she wasn’t a small baby and we probably could have waited for her to come on her own but none of that matters now. All I care about is that she’s here and safe.

Heinz trying to figure out what she was. Taken on July 12th at 5:32pm.

Little Heinz still figuring her out on July 13th at 3:30pm.

Taken on July 22nd at 2:30pm. See her little plant on the left hand side? I still have it and its one of my favorite things ever gifted to me. It’s only bloomed once but I’m hoping it will again one day!

Motherhood is a wild ride. So hard yet SO rewarding. I’m so lucky I got to stay home with her for as long as I did! I’m hoping I can be home with her full time again soon. Today is her birthday – she’s a spunky, smart, loving little light that no one can deny. She knows exactly what she wants and more than anything I hope she stays that way. She just recently started calling me Mommy and throughout the day, randomly will say, “I love you, Mommy” each and every time it melts my heart just a little bit more. I love our bond that I’ve worked so hard for.

All of these pictures are raw and unedited and I hold them so dear to my heart, thanks for reading loves!

If you’re still here; you’re probably wondering where the F our blog name came from, right?! Well, if you don’t know, The Growlers released an album last year and one of our favorite songs ever is on it. The title is When You Were Made and it’s the most beautiful / real song I’ve ever heard. I’m not going to go into too much detail about the album but I definitely recommend you listen to all of their work. THEY’RE AMAZING! At first, When You Were Made didn’t really catch my attention but once I actually listened to the lyrics and to what he was saying it broke my heart. Ok, I’m just going to give you guys the lyrics you can totally skim or even skip this but I can’t even describe it!! If you’re a child who’s parents are no longer together then you should give it a listen. Here’s a little video my friend Jackie sent me when she went to see them a couple weeks ago! The opening verse is what inspired me to make this blog. AND I HOPE YOU GUYS LOVE IT!

No, they’re not in love anymore
They are stuck and afraid
Don’t get too down on yourself
They were in love when you were made

His old boots finally wore out
And the fire in his belly faded
Her supple breast sadly sagged
As her tender heart grew jaded

A life of love is a long time
When you know that it’s only one time

You were the reason they stuck around
But you’re old enough now
Don’t worry babe
Not till you’ve been there too, will your world be less cruel

The cold truth finally seeps through
Until your memory is saturated
Your fragile smile loses teeth and
Your sparkling eyes grew faded

A life of love is a long time
When you know that it’s only one time

The good is not so hard to forget
Though it seems far away
Don’t worry babe, don’t get too down on yourself
They were in love when you were made

A life of love is a long time
When you know that it’s only one time

A life of love is a long time
When you know it’s only one time

We hope you guys go listen to literally any of their songs / albums and if you do, let us know which one is your favorite!

If you didn’t know, girls supporting girls and feminism is a big part of our everyday. We try our best not to hate and to see the good in, not only females, but EVERYONE. Lately we’ve been noticing painted leather jackets were on trend and since our denim and leather jackets are pretty much all we wear, we couldn’t think of a reason to NOT make one for ourselves. These jackets serve two purposes for us; a constant reminder / life motto  + fashion. *WINWIN*

So here’s how it went it down!

First, I found the font I wanted by just google-ing “calligraphy fonts” and then downloaded this one. I’m gonna list step by step how I got the font from the computer to my jacket. 1.) I typed out exactly how big I wanted the font on my computer. 2.) I placed a sheet of paper over my computer screen and taped it down. 3.) grabbed my paint brush and traced over the words. 4.) Once it was all traced and dried, I cut out the words. (continues steps on bottom picture)
5.) I put the pieces of paper with the words onto my jacket for placement. 6.) After I found exactly where I wanted to place the words, I put tape down to use as a guide for where the beginning of the world started and where it ended. I also put tape for any high upward or low downward strokes to remind me that’s how high/low I needed to go. 7.) start painting! I kept the cutout of my word close to me so I would remember exactly how the word looked.
Now when I first started practicing my traces all the paint brushes we were using weren’t as precise as I wanted my jacket to be so I thought.. what type of brush could I use for preciseness?! And it came to me – a makeup brush! AHAHA so I ended up using an Elf eye brush! (I’ll link it down below) And for all future jackets I make, I’ll probably use some more Elf brushes – as long as they keep their shape like this one did!Don’t think that I’m any type of calligraphy artist because the font looks nice on the jacket! The brush I was using really did all the work for me!! See all the downward strokes? That was me just painting downwards with the brush. And the thin strokes? The flat head of the brush was perfect! I just dabbed the paint onto the jacket in a line! *TAADAA*

Here’s what my brush looked like, it was a flat eyeliner brush. (linked down below)
Her finished jacket look will come soon!! It’s sooo cute!

One more version of this rad look!

I’m a 20 something, part time babysitter, world traveler, and aspiring hippie. You can find me at @raineeboots on pretty much everything. Check it out if you like cute pet pictures.

Maya and I both love the growlers, holistic habits, make up and the beauty world, art + fashion, feminism and some other rad things. There is so much we want to share with you. We’re both so inspired and determined to produce delightful, engaging content. I hope you are as excited as we are! Stick around to see more and experience the journey with us.

Since I got a lot of questions on how I use my oils, I figured I’d make a blog about it! Now it can be overwhelming at first so I’m going to start you off slow! All the oils I’m talking about today come in my Starter Pack from DoTerra! These are the top 10 selling oils and probably the most used day-to-day. I’m going to give you a small list of their top properties, a small list of their top uses and an example of how I use each oil. Keep in mind there are different ways to use oils! Aromatic, topical and orally.

Aromatic means to breathe in the oils whether it be through a diffuser or placing a couple drops in your hands and cupping them around your nose. Topical means to put the oils on a part of your skin; caution: it is recommended that you dilute oils. Especially, if you don’t know how your skin will react. You can add oils to your water, food and they can be taken in a capsule. If you’re unsure of how to properly use your oil just take a look at the bottle and it will tell you which ways that oil can be used. Remember oils should only be taken in those 3 ways and NEVER in your eyes or ears. You can see this oil can be used for aromatic, topical or for dietary use. This oil can only be used for topical use.
This last oil can be taken either aromatically or topical.

1.) Lavender –

side note – notice this bottle looks different from all the others; I only have the Lavender Touch from DoTerra on hand right now. These are pre-diluted roller balls that are perfect for children or the elderly. I use this on Penelope almost daily and it’s so convenient! I can’t wait to try the rest of the collection!

•Top Properties: anti-inflammatory, antidepressant, antihistamine, antibacterial & antiseptic.

•Top Uses: sleep issues, stress + anxiety, sunburns, allergies, pains, cuts + wounds, migraines + headaches & emotional balance.

•Example: On a typical day I’ll use Lavender on Penny to help relax and calm her down. If she ever gets a fever I run it down her neck and back, on the bottoms of her feet and across her forehead. It’s very gentle for little babes like her and works like a charm! It also pairs great with Melaleuca + Frankincense, I use that blend for her diaper rashes or any bumps + bruising or cuts she might have!

2.) Melaleuca –

•Top Properties: antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic & antiviral.

•Top Uses: eczema + athletes foot + candida, bronchitis, cold + flu, acne, sore throat, dandruff, lice, rashes + hives & emotional balance.

•Example: Currently, I’m using this oil for a candida infection I have and in my opinion it works better than the cream the doctor gave me. Although, I am using both the cream and oil because this infection is not fun for anyone and needs to be over already! ALSO, I think girls and boys need to be more educated on UTIs and Yeast Infections. No, it’s not a fun topic but everyone will get at least one in their lifetime so I think it should be talked about more. Anyways, I also put this oil along with Lavender + Frankincense in a spray bottle diluted with Fractionated Coconut Oil and use on P’s rashes, cuts or scrapes. You can also put it on any blemishes you have and it works great!

3.) Frankincense –

•Top Properties: anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, anticancer, restorative, disinfectant & sedative.

•Top Uses: depression, wound healing, tones + lifts skin, scars + stretch marks, sciatica + back pain, immune system + cellular health, warts, congestion + cough, meditation + focus & emotional balance.

•Example: I use this oil in a blend I told you about earlier but in that blend this is the most powerful oil. It’s restorative properties help heal your body. When Jaxx was little he was running around the house and ran into the cutting board and got a huge ball on his forehead within minutes from hitting it. I immediately put Frankincense and Melaleuca on it and I’m not kidding within 15 minutes there was no bump! So this is my go to oil any time theres a boo-boo.

4.) Lemon –

•Top Properties: antiseptic, diuretic, antioxidant, detoxification, disinfectant, astringent & degreaser.

•Top Uses: kidney + gall stones, detox, heartburn + reflux, congestion + mucus, stress, runny nose + allergies, gout + rheumatism + arthritis, degreaser + furniture polish, varicose viens, concentration & emotional balance.

•Example: If any of you know Penny or follow me on Snapchat or Instagram you might know that she likes to draw on herself a lot but sometimes she gets extra sneaky and will draw on the wall or floor. This is my go to oils for cleaning! P has drawn on the wall with red liquid lipstick and drawn on the floor with a black sharpie and Lemon got them both off so smoothly. It also works great if your sick and want to flush your system out! Warning: avoid UV rays 12 hours after applying this oil. I only put it on the bottoms of my feet or on my chest in the night time to avoid the sun.

5.) Peppermint –

•Top Properties: anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antispasmodic, invigorating, cooling, vasoconstrictor & expectorant.

•Top Uses: headaches + migraines, bad breath, asthma, decrease milk supply, loss of sense of smell, digestive discomfort, alertness, fevers + hot flashes, autism, cravings & allergies + hives.

•Example: This oil is very strong so when using it, you only need a little. I rarely get fevers but if I ever do this is my oil. If you use this oil for a child’s fever you should dilute with a carrier oil! You can add a couple drops to a spray bottle and in the hot summer heat spray yourself or others for a refreshing cool down!

6.) Oregano –

•Top Properties: antibacterial, anti-fungal, anti-parasitic, antiviral & immunostimulant.

•Top Uses: viruses, strep throat, staph infection, warts + callouses + canker sores, pneumonia, urinary infection, athletes foot + ring worm + candida, carpal tunnel + rheumatism & emotional balance.

•Example: I use this oil in a blend called The Flu Bomb. Any time I get sick or anyone around me I offer this blend to them. Oregano is very powerful! It is helpful against antibiotic-resistant bacteria. When I use my special blend I notice our sicknesses go away much faster than those who aren’t using it. Also, when it comes to sore throats I’m the biggest baby! I’d rather have any other ailment, I can’t stand having a sore throat!!! Oregano + Lemon + OnGuard diluted in warm water and gargled is MAGIC! If you do that a couple of times a day it should be gone before you know it!

7.) Deep Blue (Soothing Blend) –

note: This is the first blend I am showing you from DoTerra. A blend is just a combination of oils used for a specific problem.

•Ingredients: Wintergreen Leaf Oil, Camphor Bark Oil, Peppermint Oil, Blue Tansy Flower Oil, Blue Chamomile Flower Oil, Helichrysum Flower Oil & Osmanthus Flower Extract.

•Top Uses: muscle + back + joint pain, arthritis + aches, fibromyalgia + lupus, whiplash + muscle tension, pre + post workout, growing pains & bruises + injuries.

•Example: I’m not a very active person but when I am, I always end up sore and this oil soothes and relieves everything! Phillip was so skeptical at first but now when he gets hurt skating he always asks for Deep Blue!

8.) DigestZen (Digestive Blend) –

•Ingredients: Ginger Rhizome/Root, Peppermint Plant, Caraway Seed, Coriander Seed, Anise Seed, Tarragon Plant & Fennel Seed.

•Top Uses: bloating + gas + nausea, reflux + indigestion, morning sickness, motion + travel sickness, colitis, diarrhea + constipation & food poisoning.

•Example: When P was adjusting to formula and then again to cows milk she had a difficult time going potty but after I used DigestZen I noticed it pass within a couple of hours. I’m always so thankful I have these oils to help me out; I literally don’t know how moms go without them! Keep in mind when using on babies you may want to dilute in case it’s too strong for them!

9.) Breathe (Respiratory Blend) –

•Ingredients: Laurel Leaf Oil, Eucalyptus Lead Oil, Peppermint Oil, Melaleuca Leaf Oil, Lemon Peel Oil, Ravensara Leaf Oil & Cardamom Seed Oil.

•Top Uses: pneumonia + asthma, allergies, cough + congestion, bronchitis + influenza, sinusitis + nasal polyps & restful sleep.

•Example: When we get seasonal sicknesses and have hard times breathing at night Breathe is my favorite to dilute along with Lavender and On Guard. Breathe blended with Lemon + Frankincense is great if you have any congestion just rub a little on your chest and breathe in the rest!

10.) On Guard (Protective Blend) –

•Ingredients: Wild Orange Peel, Clove Bud, Cinnamon Bark, Eucalyptus Leaf & Rosemary Leaf/Flower.

•Top Uses: colds + flu, strep throat + coughs, antiseptic cleaner, urinary tract support, cold sores + warts + infected wounds, oral health, fungal + parasite issues, autoimmune disease & airborne pathogens + killing germs.

•Example: This oil can be used daily for immune support. This blend is in all of my blends for sicknesses. I add this to water along with Lemon + Oregano when I have a sore throat. There’s a warning to avoid UV rays for 12 hours after applying this oil but I never put it on parts of my body that are visible to the sun so I don’t worry about it too much!

I hope this post helps you better understand how essential oils work. If you have anymore questions, please don’t be shy to ask! In my time of using oils I’ve been skeptical too but you just have to trust your instincts whether it be to take just the oils or just medicine, sometimes I do both! If you are planning on getting yourself some oils, I recommend you buy a book just in case you have questions and want to know right away! If not, I’m always here to help as best I can!

Thanks for reading!! Don’t forget to share this post with any friends you may think will benefit from it!

I have been using essential oils since a little before my daughter was born and I AM OBSESSED. When I was pregnant, I got a kidney infection and the antibiotics they prescribed me made me throw up every time. Turns out I was allergic to that medication, but in that time I realized that I hated what antibiotics did to my body. The number 1 reason I love these oils, they work WITH your body.

In my time of using oils, I have come find there is an oil for anything you need! Pink eye? Got it. Fever? Sharpie on the wall? Teething babe? GOT IT! Oils are now apart of my everyday routine, especially when it comes to emotional support. Balance + Serenity = MAGIC. For myself, if I am ever having an off day or I start getting anxious I put some on my neck and rub it in with my hands then cup my hands and breathe in the essential oils. AHH they’re so great I can smell them just thinking about it! For Penelope, before bed I always put either my Lavender Touch + Peace Touch (it’s the oil already diluted in a roller ball) down her spine, or Serenity down her spine and I make her smell as well! Breathing in the oils is just another way to get all the benefits of them without actually putting it on your skin.

I can go on and on about all the different ways to use essential oils or different methods of applying it; I’m just not sure that’s what you guys want to read about!! So, please let me know if you enjoyed this post in the comments sections and I will start planning more blogs – I can already think of 10 different posts!

Also, if you have any questions at all about these magic babies please don’t be shy to ask! I LOVE talking about oils and all things oil related!

If you haven’t noticed already, polaroid pictures are making a comeback. In my closet, I have tucked away quite the collection. Since these polaroids are some of my favorite pictures, it has always killed me that they weren’t being displayed somewhere I can see them all the time. SO, I took a look around Pinterest for some inspo and saw a couple of cork-board ideas, but since I already had a frame on hand (from IKEA) I decided to use that instead! Plus, I realized that by using a frame instead of a board I wouldn’t have to poke holes through pictures!! The frame originally had a white boarder inside but I took it out because, well, I had a lot of pictures and they took up all the space! When I was done with this board, I couldn’t help but feel a little emotional; this board is a brief timeline of the past 4 years of my life. Within this frame holds some of my favorite, most precious moments. Down below I’m gonna share a couple of my favorites – I hope you guys enjoy! :~)This is me + bae aka Phillip. Isn’t he a total babe? This cutesy little guy is Phillips son, Jaxx. He is the sweetest + kindest boy you’ll ever meet.
This little angel is our daughter, Penelope. You can see two little hairs that got stuck – it’s just what happens sometimes when you have too much hair to control + there’s no way I’m about to take the frame apart just for that. NOT SORRY. hehePenelope was a Unicorn for her first Halloween – I had stayed up all night (the night before) making it! I loved how it came out but poor little baby, she was so sweaty I had to take it off her after about an hour!
Top picture – taken on my birthday last year and you can see Penny’s giddy little smirk, this has to be one of my favorites of her! Bottom picture – taken on Mothers Day; right after we took the picture she grabbed it out of the camera and it created these ink smudges. Thought it was super cool so I kept it.Top picture – another picture from Mothers Day. Can you see Penny’s romper? IT USED TO BE MINE! I was so happy it fit her on my very first Mothers Day-the perfect gift. I paired it with a long-sleeve and tights underneath because it was a little chilly that day, but she had to wear it. SHE HAD TO! Bottom picture – we took a couple of day trips for my moms birthday last year, this was taken up north on top of a huge sequoia that had fallen down!Top pictures – taken on our trip up north to see the sequoias. I love P’s little buns in the top left! Bottom pictures – taken at my grandparents house with my niece, Nirvana. How sweet is the picture of them two kissing?! Ugh, I love babies!!

Here’s what the final product looks like – IM IN LOVE!

I hope this post inspires you guys to show off your polaroids too! If you do, tag me in your picture, I’d love to see your creations!

If you don’t already know me, I’m Maya. I’m a mom, feminist, wanna-be wife, and a slight introvert. I’ve been anxious about creating my first post since November.  SO HERE IT IS. I’m just gonna jump right in and hope I don’t throw up.

I’m starting this blog for a lot of different reasons, but mainly because I need an outlet/something to contribute to! I’ve been so hesitant to actually start it because I’m terrified people won’t like what I have to say, or worse, people won’t even be interested. Basically I’m just a nervous wreck, but I’ll learn/deal. Heck, our President and half of his cabinet aren’t qualified for their jobs but somehow they got it! HAHA! Ok, no politics (for now).

So here I am blogosphere! I’m not exactly sure what direction this blog will take. I have a few ideas but I’m just gonna go with it. If you made it this far please leave a comment saying hi! (you don’t have to, I would just really enjoy it!)

Hope you guys enjoy the ride!
